Hi there!
You've come to the right place to get to know us...some of you already do! After retiring from owning and directing successful dance studios in TX and CO, Kate decided to pursue another entrepreneurial passion and founded Vines Vintage Market, Walnut Creek & Fox & Clover Market Shops in Fort Collins. All of them successful retail ventures supporting hundreds of entrepreneurs along the way. Life gets in the way sometimes and sadly, after closing Fox & Clover, Kate had to get a job for the very first time.
God is in the details...In 2020 that job relocated us to Puyallup, WA where we met some folks who were hosting a night market. It reminded us of how much we loved the Farmer's Market in San Luis Obispo where Roger grew up, and we were fascinated with the idea of the community coming together every week to exchange money & goods, eat local fare, laugh, talk, and mingle. We had no idea that this would become our next adventure...to support other small businesses in this same way in Northern Colorado. The Great Love Market was born!
OUR INTENTION is to provide support, revenue, inspiration, networking & encouragement for other small businesses and entrepreneurs through our markets and events, and to create events that bring communities together. We want to become the largest outdoor night market in Northern Colorado!
Closing our Fox and Clover shop due to road construction and no business access for 9 months was extremely traumatic for us. It literally changed the course of our lives, and not in a good way! We never want anyone else to ever experience what we went through during that time. That is WHY we want these markets to not only bring success to our merchants, but also fund a small business incubator for our area small business entrepreneurs to support those who might be struggling to stay alive and thriving. With the right set of resources, our little shop that supported over 60 vendors might have stayed in business. OUR GOAL is to generously give to a non-profit each season and help build a stronger more vibrant community.
As a society, a pandemic pushed us apart. But we believe that is NOT how humans are built. We are meant to gather, talk, smile, laugh, eat, connect, share, listen to music, honor our artisans, & build our communities by supporting others & their small business ventures. Through these gatherings we offer support & encouragement, networking opportunities, resources and valuable insight for local entrepreneurs and a sense of belonging within our towns. Let's keep our dollars local and watch our communities thrive!
